I fucking hate MLM companies. As a client, if I walk into a facility and they have direct sales, i’m like OH FUCK I feel like shark bait now. As a spa owner, I also would not want my clients to feel pressured and when I go to networking groups and these “business owners” (ROFL, they have no clue what being a real biz owner is) approach me like “hey I hear you own a spa, use my essential oils and skin care line”…. First off… NO THANKS, I barely now your name and you gotta build rapport before a pitch. Secondly, you will not use my business as a funnel for the products that you’re promoting for another company – and if I let one person do it then it will become saturated and my spa is NOT a garage sale. It’s SUCH a turn off for me to see direct sales at locally owned businesses. It makes me feel yucky. You can get way better products at way better pricing by signing up to become a wholesaler, as you said. Wholesalers will also hook you up with promo items and retail displays and marketing material, and usually no minimum quotas besides that initial first order etc. Most people who do direct sales crash & burn hard and quick. When approving members for Badass Bodyworkers, I have to filter through 278924 requests bc many are trying yo join m group that I worked me ass off growing to come in and siphon their products onto my members… it disgusts me, stop being a succubus! If I let one member do it then I have to let EVERYONE do it.
